Tour description:
We start with the hiking bus at the tourist information center in Reit im Winkl, ride via Seegatterl to the bus stop at Weitsee Badeplatz. In the direction of Ruhpolding, the path leads over a small footbridge and meadows to the cycle path. At the Mittersee car park, go through the underpass and the next section of this hike begins along the shore of the quiet lake with drinking water quality. This wonderful nature reserve, characterized by forestry and alpine farming, is affectionately called Little Canada. Follow the hiking trail on the old railway line, surrounded by dense forest growth, back to the starting point. Refreshments: none!!! Take drinks and snacks with you.
Definitely take bathing suits with you. Three lakes offer a great refreshment.
From Munich or Salzburg on the federal motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B305) to Reit im Winkl. At the entrance to Entfelden in the direction of Ruhpolding, about 6 km to lake Weitsee. Parking: -Am Weitsee (designated parking lot).
From Munich or Innsbruck on the federal motorway Rosenheim - Innsbruck (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59). Continue to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. At the entrance to Entfelden in the direction of Ruhpolding, about 6 km to lake Weitsee. Parking: -Am Weitsee (designated parking)
