Three-Countries-Point

on Scheibelberg

Without the marking stone next to the "marterl", you wouldn't even notice it: Germany and Austria meet at Scheibelberg in the Winklmoos-Alm area.

Seen at the federal state level, it is even a triangle: Bavaria, Tyrol and Salzburg are only a few steps away from each other. In summer you pass here while hiking on the way to the Steinplatte, in winter the Scheibelberg is the destination for a ski tour and is known as the namesake for the Scheibelberg lift in the Winklmoos-Alm ski area.
