Tour description:
From the starting point path 11 towards Scheibelberg to the border barrier.
Here further to the right (path 11) partly over wooden beams to the Scheibelberg summit. Be careful after rainy days: the wooden planks can be slippery!
The onward path leads south in the direction of Kammerköhr - Steinplatte, to the mountain station of the Schwarzlofer lift. Descent to the Schwarzloferalmen, then Eibenstock path - forest hut. Continue on path no. 18/14 back to the Winklmoos-Alm.
Special features: Scheibelberg summit cross, in memory of those who fell in the two World Wars, the Dreiländerstein monuments forms the border between Bavaria - Salzburg - Tyrol. On this tour you can use the free hiking bus. Please note the timetable!
On Scheibelberg you can find the border stone of the border triangle Bavaria-Salzburg-Tyrol. According to legend, in 1806 Reit im Winkl was overlooked by Napoleon when organising land ownership. The rulers of Bavaria, Salzburg and Tyrol played cards for Reit im Winkl. Bavarian King Maximilian I. Joseph was the lucky winner thanks to the famous "Schellunter" stab.
Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine road (B305) to Reit im Winkl.
At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district, then via the toll road from Seegatterl to the Winklmoos - Alm. Parking: -Klammweg, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the Rosenheim - Innsbruck motorway (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59). On to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl.
