What is your favorite time of the year - and why?

Even if we in Reit im Winkl are mainly known as a winter sports resort, I am definitely a spring / summer person.

The many opportunities to do something after work are clearly a summer bonus for me. Be it a short mountain tour, a bike tour with my mountain bike or a little cooling off in Lake Weitsee.

I also find it particularly pleasant to sit outside in the evening with a glass of wine. Since I am a person who always needs exercise to compensate for my office job, the summer months are ideal for me.

My favorite view of Reit im Winkl

Since you can always find me on my bike or in the mountains in my free time, I have several favorite views of our beautiful town.

The absolute highlight for me is the Wetterkreuz summit. It's a short enough tour if you don't want to be on the road for too long. My favorite route is over the Wasserfallsteig past Glapfalm to Wetterkreuz.

After the last ascent to the summit, you come from a forest area to a small plateau, with the best view over Reit im Winkl and the great mountain scenery.

Then just sitting there and enjoying the mountains is pure enjoyment and relaxation for me!

Why do you like to work for us in the Tourist Information Office?

I've been working here for a long time and I am part of the "old stock", so to speak.

Having new and very different people around me every day as well as new tasks every day has always inspired me. Not knowing what to expect every day and facing a challenge every day is the special attraction of our job, which I still enjoy doing after all these years. Our team is also the reason I really enjoy going to work every day.

I am also always very happy when I can give the guests tips on how to help make their vacation as pleasant as possible. To be able to pass on my cycling and mountain tips and then to find out how enthusiastic the guests are is my confirmation that I have chosen the right job.
