The Steinplatte cable car runs from Waidring, Austria, to the Steinplatte in both summer and winter.
Discover the unique Triassic Park in summer and immerse yourself in a bygone era. The theme park offers the ideal place for exploration, discovery, solving puzzles, and fun – whatever the weather. The highest sandy beach in the Alps allows the whole family to cool off, and the viewing platform offers spectacular views both below and beyond.
NEW in summer 2025: the Panorama Muschel (Shell). This spacious relaxation area, shaped like a shell, offers impressive panoramic views of the Tyrolean mountains. Access is barrier-free, the platform is made of durable larch wood. The natural ambiance and the unique view create a nature-cinema experience that will remain in your memory for a long time.
The park's paths are barrier-free and therefore easily accessible with strollers and wheelchairs. Admission to the Triassic Park is free, including great events and a varied children's entertainment program.
In winter, Steinplatte is a skiing paradise with 14 lifts and 16 wide, perfectly groomed slopes totaling 42 km in length, catering for all levels of difficulty. A diverse snow park will delight freestylers (4 lines in 3 sections, 1.5 km in length). On the Triassic Funline, even the littlest ones can get their first taste of banked turns, a wave track, and tunnels, playfully exploring colorful dinosaur stations. The Steinplatte ski area is connected to the family-friendly Winklmoosalm ski area on the German side.
Triassic Park is also exciting in winter: Families can experience the winter hiking trail with its viewing platform and stalactite cave together, and with Triassic childcare (half-day or full-day), children and parents can fulfill their various needs.
