Tour description:

At the Seegatterl car park (use the shuttle bus from Reit im Winkl, otherwise parking fees will be charged), the path leads to the left past the toll station. Follow the winter hiking path for about 300m and then turn right into the marked ski and snowshoe path. Follow the signs for Dürrnbachalmen.

Once here, the tour towards Winklmoos-Alm can be shortened. If you still want to go the alpine part of this sporty tour, follow the signs / tracks to the summit cross of the Dürrnbachhorn (approx. 1.5 hours).

Descent: from the summit, follow the ascent track to the mountain station of the Dürrnbachhorn chairlift, from there left over the free steep slopes (danger of avalanches on the steep slopes) to the Dürrnbachalmen. Here left to the Winklmoos -Alm, to the mountain station of the Winklmoos-Alm gondola (short variant) or back via the ascent track to Seegatterl.

Attention: In the entire area there are alpine dangers (avalanches). Always have appropriate equipment and food with you!

The nostalgic chair lift is only in operation in summer.

Arrival by car

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine road (B305) to Reit im Winkl.

At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district. Parking: -Seegatterl, 83242 Reit im Winkl.

Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the Rosenheim - Innsbruck motorway (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit 59). On to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district. Parking: -Seegatterl 83242 Reit im Winkl.

 

Arrival by public transport

Connections to Reit im Winkl from the Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection !!), stop directly at the tourist information. With the shuttle bus (RVO) from the tourist information every half hour to Seegatterl.

Connections to Reit im Winkl from Ruhpolding train station with the RVO line 9506.
