Discover, feel, smell – anyone who comes to Penninger in Reit im Winkl can experience the extraordinary aromas of "Blutwurz", "Bärwurz" and other natural raw materials for themselves. The lovingly designed specialty shop contains an old copper still and other rarities from the history of schnapps production. Decades ago, the grapes were pressed by hand and the fermented mash was distilled in a hand-fired kiln.
A lot of things are different today.
Penninger specialties are still made exclusively from naturally grown raw materials. They have been the epitome of quality products from a Bavarian family business for decades.
