The woodworker museum in Ruhpolding was opened in 1988. The special museum is dedicated to the life and work of the woodcutters (lumberjacks, foresters) in the former Traunstein salt pans.
The adjoining open-air area shows woodcutters' huts, stagings of woodwork and interactive stations in a variety of ways.
Located in the middle of the Chiemgau Alps, the museum grounds invite you to enjoy the atmospheric surroundings.
