Tour description:
From the starting point, take path No 12 in the direction of Dürrnbachalmen, past the valley station of the Dürrnbachhorn chairlift. Shortly before the Dürrnbachalmen turn right to the Finsterbachalm. Return on the wide forest road downhill, always through beautiful high forest. After approx. 700m downhill (approx. 15 minutes) the forest road turns right, but we continue straight back to the Winklmoos Alm.
Special features: The circular route starts out over the beautiful alpine pastures of the Dürrnbachalmen, with a view of the Dürrnbachhorn. From the Finsterbachalm there are beautiful views towards the Heutal valley and Loferer Steinberge as well as the Steinplatte summit.
Tip: In bad weather, the forest path can only be walked to the Finsterbachalm. The same route goes back. Note the opening times of the Alm. On this tour you can use the free hiking bus. Please note the timetable!

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B 305) to Reit im Winkl.
At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district, then via the toll road from Seegatterl to the Winklmoos-Alm. Parking: -Klammweg, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the Rosenheim - Innsbruck motorway (A 93) to Oberaudorf (exit 59), then on to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl.
